Do you ever wonder why someone does something? You ever want to know what makes them tick? Well I hope I’m not the only one because I’m always doing that! :) People strike my interest sometimes and I just get to thinking.
Well I'm here to tell you W H Y.
Why was M&P created? For a very long time (about 4 1/2 years) I have always wanted to get into the blogging world and start connecting with people all around the world. For 4 of those years I was busy in college so I always found an excuse to not move forward with the idea. Finally the summer going into my Sophomore year I sat down and began to write; on blogger... with no plan... no domain... and a name that meant very little to me. (you can guess that did not last long. Maybe 2 weeks?) Through the next few years I started 1 more blogger account, again with no plan. Finally I just gave up.
Skip to graduation and being pushed into the real world with a BFA in Craft and N O idea what I wanted to do with my life. I got 2 restaurant jobs in Philly and worked my butt off trying to pay for an overpriced 1 bedroom apartment. A few months after graduating I was loving life; had 2 awesome jobs, living with my awesome boyfriend, staying busy with friends and then in June my life was turned upside down. Everything came to a complete stop.
Skip 3 months.
I moved home to Virginia Beach to be close to my family and started working at the family business (a beautiful 9-5 job...). With the move and having to leave everyone behind, I had nothing (my boyfriend and I are still together).
I didn't want to do art, I didn't want to see people, all i did was work and sleep. Finally I got fed up with how I was living and vowed to change it. Whenever I thought about what I wanted to do or where I wanted to be in 5 years.... my mind always went back to blogging and owning my own business. This has been a dream of mine for over 5 years now. I told myself I'm going to do it, So that is what I'm doing.
I'm turning my life around for my family and most of all myself.
I invite you all on my journey!
